Speak to a nurse about your products
Our nurses are here to help make sure you're getting the most out of your appliances
Why do I need an Appliance Use Review?
An Appliance Use Review (or simply called an AUR) is all about helping you use and manage your appliances more effectively. One of our nurses will meet with you and talk to you about how you currently use your products. Their goal is to help improve your knowledge and understanding of your appliance, whilst giving you the chance to discuss any questions or concerns you might have.
During your review, you and your Vyne nurse will:
- Establish how you currently use your appliances and your experiences so far.
- Identify and discuss any issues you've had with your appliances, and assist you in resolving them.
- Advise you on the best way to store your appliances.
- And advise you on the best and safest disposal methods for used or unwanted appliances.
Our Vyne nurses can either see you in your own home or via video call, whichever you feel more comfortable with. Just fill in your details and one of the team will be in touch to talk to you about your AUR.

Valerie Ward
Head of Nursing
Nurses Team
Hi, I’m Valerie...
...and I’m the Head of Nursing here at Vyne. Having worked as a District Nurse Team Leader for several years I undertook the Management of incontinence course and promotion of continence course to improve the care that I delivered to patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction in the community.
This began my interest in the continence & urology field that has stayed with me for over 20 years as I am passionate that we deliver the highest quality care to our patients.
I was appointed Continence Advisor and then Continence service manager in the community managing one of the largest continence teams in the country at that time and was very honoured to be awarded the title of Queens Nurse in 2008 for raising standards in the service and changing practice.

Mandy Mundy
Clinical Lead Urology Nurse Specialist
Nurses Team
Hi, I’m Mandy...
...and I’m the Clinical Lead Urology Nurse Specialist here at Vyne. I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1992 at the Wirral and Chester School of Nursingand Midwifery at the Countess of Chester Hospital. I then worked in Wirral Hospital for 10 years on surgical wards looking after patients with a variety of urological conditions and during this time was promoted to senior staff nurse.
I returned to Chester in 2002 where I was staff nurse on the surgical day care unit for 4 years before successfully applying for the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist in Urology.
I spent 12 years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist where I developed my expertise in urological and continence assessment and diagnostics and played a major part in the planning of care for patients with urological cancers. I have always maintained a passion for urological nursing where my special interests were in self-catheterisation, urodynamic investigations and painful bladder clinics. I also planned and delivered hospital staff teaching sessions for catheterisation and catheter care.

Lauren Brown
Urology Nurse Specialist
Nurses Team
Hi I'm Lauren...
... and I’m one of the Urology Nurse Specialists here at Vyne. I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2015 at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. I then worked at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on various wards specialising in many different areas. I first found my love for Urology on a Surgical Urology ward at the NNUH where I became a senior staff nurse.
I fell in love with the speciality finding particular interests in post-operative care and Urology Oncology support. After almost two years working in the community I decided to re-join the acute trust at the NNUH as the Clinical Lead For Nurse Bank, along with an incredible team we supported all clinical Bank staff while working for the trust, providing clinical and non-clinical support. I soon realised I missed working within Urology and that need for patient contact, I decided to join Vyne! I have not looked back since and am so happy to been working back in a speciality where as a team we can help those within the community and acute settings.
